The Yasawa Islands
The Yasawa Islands are a stunning archipelago of volcanic islands with summits reaching up to 600m. Located in northwest Fiji, they're the shoot location of the 1949 film & 1980 remake Blue Lagoon. There is minimal tourism development in the Yasawa Islands, its breathtaking land & seascape remain in pristine condition and it's unique Fijian cultural heritage remains intact. The people of the Yasawa Islands even have their own Fijian dialects.
The Yasawa Islands are easily accessible from Port Denarau, Nadi using transport operator Awesome Adventures Fiji/South Sea Cruises ferry service. It's a stunning scenic transfer to Barefoot Kuata Island Resort, departing Port Denarau 8.45am you'll arrive around 10.45am.

During Fiji's 2-year border closure Barefoot Manta Island Resort spent 9 months building 10 new Beachfront Rai Ki Waya Bures.
The new Beachfront Rai Ki Waya Bures incorporate traditional Fijian design elements, building materials and lead directly onto the beach.
