Barefoot Kuata Day Trip & Snorkel with Reef Sharks
The beautiful island of Kuata, gateway to the Yasawa Islands is a spectacular two hour cruise from Denarau Marina on board Awesome Adventures Fiji high speed Catamaran departing every morning at 8.30. Arriving at Barefoot Kuata is unmistakable with our own Fiji Warrior welcoming you from the best vantage point to Kuata Islands’ white beaches, huge volcanic mountains and the famous Phantom Rock caves. You will be warmly greeted on the beach by singing and grinning locals who will guide you to through the resort for a brief on the day’s action.
Your Activities crew will advise you of your scheduled departure from the resort when you will board the boat to travel 15-20 minutes to Moyia Reef, home of the White Tip and Black Tip Reef Sharks.
A safety brief is all that separates you from an extraordinary experience. These sharks are spectacular and majestic and not the kind that very occasionally bite people. The White tip and Black tip reef sharks are like the poodles of the shark world. They are stunningly graceful creatures and will change your perception about sharks forever.
Our marine science team will happily talk you through any information you would like to know about these animals. After another short boat ride you will be back to the island in time for lunch.
You will be on the island for about five hours and will have time to swim in the pools, snorkel, kayak, SUP, go for a bush walk or many other activities. A freshly cooked buffet lunch will take up some of your time and can be washed down with an ice cold beer or cocktail from the bar.
The local Fijian staff are very proud of their island paradise and will warm your hearts with true genuine hospitality. Sadly the boat will pick you up for a return to Nadi at about 3:30pm
