GETTING HERE

In the North-West corner of Fiji lies a beautiful and remote group of islands called the Yasawa Islands. Barefoot Kuata is at the Southern tip of this island chain, in arguably the most enviable location for both access and scenery. Stunning not only for the picturesque coconut fringed beaches, but also the dramatic island geography and pristine coral reefs.

Kuata Island is considered to be the ‘Gateway to the Yasawa Islands’ and all who enter should pay respects to the Kuata Warrior who dances on the high rock formation adjacent to the beach.

Our island paradise is a lot closer than you may think! Three short hours from New Zealand or four from Australia, many of the larger airlines can fly you into Nadi Airport on the mainland faster than you can say “tequila sunrise”. There are also direct flights from Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Singapore, San Francisco, Seoul, and Japan.

Get in touch with us to find out about transfers from Nadi to Barefoot Kuata aboard the Awesome Adventures’ catamaran. For the more impatient, a quick 30-minute seaplane transfer can also be arranged.

Visitors from most countries qualify for a 4-month tourist visa upon arrival, but this should be checked on the Fiji Tourism website before your departure. Guests are required to have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay.
