Bucket List
Beautiful setting and scenery. Awesome lodge and very nicely done chalets. Spectacular views. The Awakening (Bull Shark dive) is aptly named and one of those “moments of clarity” experiences. Professionally done by dive staff. 10/10 experience.

The highlight of our 2 weeks in Fiji
A stunning location, relaxing, a comfortable ‘bure’ right on the beach, a range of activities and excellent food but the lasting memory is of the locals we met. Genuinely warm and friendly – you feel you are staying with a local family rather than in a resort. To the management, you have a winning formula, with a mix of local influences combined with enough home comforts for your regular traveller. To Sala, Napolioni and all the staff, thank you!
A ‘must do’ is the Bull Shark feeding dive. Being a novice diver, I did not think this was possible. At 10am I met Chloe (one of the dive instructors) and was kitted out in full diving equipment. Any apprehension I had soon went as Chloe expertly explained the equipment, ‘the dive’ and after a few practice runs in the shallows, her final words, ‘now I will be with you at all times, just relax and breathe normally”. By 11:30 and after a 30min boat ride, I was in 12m of water kneeling behind a rock, watching a dozen fully grown Bull Sharks being fed meters away!! Adrenalin stuff but I felt safe and after a while you do relax and admire the beauty and spectacle in front of you – an experience I will never forget. To Chloe and your fellow diving instructors – thank you.

Not perfect but worth the wait
From the moment we arrived to the shore of the island I know we were going to have a good stay. The staff are so wonderful and the place makes you feel at ease and like a home away from home. It is paradise with a wonderful reef right out the front of the resort. The staff are what really make this place special. The activities are fantastic and really help you appreciate your beautiful surroundings. We loved the snorkelling and swimming with the manta ray was really special. The beachfront bures we stayed in were new and really fantastic. The outdoor bathroom is very well done and the views from your room are spectacular and you get some wonderful sunsets. The food package was really good value and variety and quality was surprisingly good. I can honestly say it was one of my favourite holidays. I wish everyone will get to enjoy the wonderful hospitality of this resort. Do yourself a favour and book this place asap.

Close to Paradise
Barefoot Kuata was by far the highlight of our recent two week trip to Fiji. Both the snorkelling straight of the beach or with the Reef Sharks was fantastic and well worth the time. The new Beachfront Bures are well equipped, clean and feature the best shower we had in Fiji. What also makes this resort stand out from the rest is the staff. Special mention to Tim (Activities), Napoleon, Ase (Bar) and John (Chef) who were all very welcoming and up for a chat. Bula Vinaka.
